Rotary in Prahran-
- Was involved in establishing what became the Rotary Bone/Marrow Research Centre.
- Instituted and continues the "RMH Cancer Research Appeal" which raises money
throughout the year for cancer research.
- Runs the Bridge Club on Tuesdays at St John's Church, Toorak, to support Cancer Research at the Alfred Hospital.
- Supports Stonnington Cares initiative, providing relief for drought affected farmers.
- Has actively supported from inception, the Winter Breakfast Program at the Prahran
mission and its members participate in cooking and serving those meals.
- Participates in youth exchange, sponsors young people to leadership programs and promotes
the concept of service as a desirable quality amongst local secondary colleges.
- Participates in numerous programs of international aid, including active involvement in
Rotarians against Malaria and Fourth Avenue in Motion (Popondetta)and Re-equipped Daru Hospital in PNG
- Created a study centre for the students living in the high rise flats (Horace Petty Estate).
- Participates in community-based vocational service programs through Operation Livewire and many more.
- Helps the Alfred Hospital in Fund Raising and supplies Rotarian Manpower for the Variety Clubs Special
Childrens Christmas Party.
- Supplies Art Materials to students in the Soloman Islands, East Timor & Kenya
- Designed and built playground area at the Horace Betty Estate.
- Members assist in cooking and serving school breakfast
for children at Stonnington Primary School.
- Members assisted in the environmental tree planting project, and the
book donation scheme, which has seen dictionaries donated to Armadale Primary School
- Has supported The school of St Jude in Tanzania with donations of money,
school materials and sporting equipment. and of course details of
- Supports the Donations in Kind warehouse, where useful equipment
is collected and shipped to projects overseas.
